Darrell Burkey  -
President

Darrell Burkey is the founder of CASE and has been involved with the community sector in the ACT since 1992. He holds degrees in Professional Photography and Information Technology (software). Darrell was a staff IT trainer for the University of Canberra and is currently a Unix Systems Administrator at the Australian National University. He was awarded the Vice-Chancellor's Staff Award for Community Involvement for his volunteer work with CASE. Darrell has contributed to research on issues relating to the equitable access to technology in Australia. He is also a member of the Systems Administrators Guild of Australia.


Amanda Plowright - Vice President

Amanda Plowright has been working for Self Help Organisations United Together (SHOUT) for 10 yrs in various capacities. Since 2001 she has been the Manager of SHOUT, responsible for all areas of operations including IT support to members. Amanda's community involvement includes serving as the President of a High School P&C association for 4 years and donating her time as the schools representative on the Council of P&C associations. Amanda also worked in the Public Service for 8 years in Salaries and Recruitment, HR Planning and financial estimates areas. During that time she became involved in the implementation and integration of a computerised personnel and organisational record-keeping system Amanda also volunteers as a trained leader for the Stanford "Living a Healthy Life with Long Term Conditions" course, which is delivered in various community settings across Canberra in partnership with ACT Health, ACT Division of General Practice and Arthritis ACT.


Gordon Urquhart - Secretary

Gordon Urquhart is a founding member of CASE & has been the Secretary for four years. He has been a resident of Canberra since 1988 and enjoys a career in insurance and finance. Gordon has also worked in the IT industry and been a volunteer for community organisations for many years.


Karen Realph  - Treasurer

Karen Realph joined the CASE committee in 2004 as Membership Secretary, becoming Treasurer the following year. She also provides administrative support to the organisation. Karen has been involved in the community sector for about 20 years, mainly as a volunteer with various organisations. She has represented various school P&C's on the ACT P&C Council, also representing at national level the ACT Down Syndrome Association. She has studied Information Technology at the Canberra Institute of Technology and provides IT management for her workplace.


 Robert Long  - Consulting Advisor

 Dr Robert Long is National Manager, Education and Training for the WorkWise Group. Robert consults in the manufacturing and mining sectors in leadership, management, organisational culture and risk management. Robert has more than 30 years experience in the community, youth and education sectors in government and non-government, including holding several executive positions. Robert has been a teacher for many years and is currently a research fellow with ACU National lecturing regularly in the areas of youth, community, justice and management services. Robert holds a PhD in Education Social Policy.
